When I started up my own business luckily the website had already been done.

It was a brand new website that had been completed just before I took over and I was very impressed with the layout and design. After upgrading from XP-Pro to Windows 7 64-bit, I found I was no longer able to have either thumbnail views or preview images of .pdf files. As I work with these a lot, this was not only very frustrating but was costing me countless hours in wasted time having to open each one individually to see the contents.

After trying absolutely everything I could think of I finally, and somewhat sceptically, sent an email to Richard – which took me about 4 minutes to compose. Though he didn’t know me at all, I had a reply very quickly with a link to a website claiming to offer a fix to the Adobe Reader .pdf program: I followed this, downloaded the fix and within 10 minutes everything was sorted. Less than 15 minutes in total to simply and easily resolve a problem that had been bugging me for months.

This is the first occasion I have had contact with Richard, who appears to be a member of an increasingly rare breed; professional, rapid response, no excuses and no nonsense – just a successful result. 10/10.

Am I a happy bunny? You bet! In fact, I’m over the BlueMoon.

Hi Richard, I was reading your reply to a readers question in the paper the other day regarding the pop up box asking for a dial up connection every time they switched the computer on with interest as on my new computer I have always had the same problem and it could take between 12 /20 clicks to rid it.

Anyway I followed your instructions and hey presto problem gone away. Isn`t technology wonder —–if only we new how to use it! Keep up the column, thanks, Brian
